Front End Development/Prototyping

I am able to take a Photoshop (PSD) file and recreate it almost exactly using XHTML and CSS with few (if any) graphics. Hand coding everything in Dreamweaver (once upon a time it was VisualBasic), I excel at iterative prototyping and do much of it myself. I do not profess to be a graphic designer but I have a good eye for design and excellent knowledge of and passion for good usability. I have a respectable level of proficiency with JavaScript and have effectively dabbled in jQuery and Ajax.

Languages & Databases

PHP, XHTML/DHTML, CSS (1-3), XML, JavaScript, Cold Fusion 3.1-MX, Visual Basic 5.0-6.0, VBA, Java, JSP, ASP, FoxPro/Visual FoxPro, SQL, MySQL, C, dBase

Operating Systems, Web & Server Platforms

Windows 3.0-XP, Mac OS X, Linux, Windows NT, Windows 2002 Server, SQL Server 2000, Apache, IIS, DOS 3.x-7.x (yes, really)

Applications, IDEs & Frameworks

Drupal, WordPress, phpMyAdmin, Cold Fusion Server / Studio, Adobe CS4 (Dreamweaver, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.), Vignette (V/5), Microsoft Office, OpenOffice, IE, Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Visual Page, Visual Café, Visual Studio, Macromedia Director, Crystal Reports, Acrobat Pro, PVCS, Bugzilla, Visual SourceSafe, SVN, Lotus Notes, Quickbooks, Camtasia, and many others

Given my number of years in the field and the array of technologies I have worked with or otherwise been exposed to during that time, I am able to pick up most new software applications quickly. (Essentially if there’s a book for it I can learn it.)

It goes without saying (ok, so I said it) that I am highly proficient in the Microsoft Office Application Suite. I’ve been using a Mac heavily since about 2006 so my Microsoft experience stalled somewhat after XP. No worries though, I’m sure it will come back like an unridden bicycle.
